Midwives are the backbone of what we do. From our skilled Haitian Midwives on the ground to those who travel from all over the world to learn, serve, support, and offer relief; we are so appreciative of you! We are thrilled to now be partnering with midwives who are dedicated to support the work that MamaBaby Haiti does. By becoming a Sister Midwife, your $50 monthly donation will be directly helping to ensure that our midwives have the help they specifically need.

Amy Darling, Midwife

I trained in Scotland and became a direct-entry midwife in 1998. Since then, I have had four daughters and enjoy a small home birth practice in a tiny town in New Hampshire. I was at MamaBaby in 2012 and 2013. I love Haiti, and fall deeper in love each time I come back. The next time I come, hopefully very soon, it will be to bring home my fifth daughter! After that, I definitely plan a return to MamaBaby to serve. I aim to bear these fruit in my profession:  Love (for the women and families I serve), Peace (in all circumstances), Joy ( in celebrating new life), Patience and Self-control (during times of fatigue), Kindness, Goodness, and Gentleness (always) and Faithfulness (for strength and blessing.)

I’m a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a midwife who is blessed to have had the opportunity to visit MamaBaby, and is honored to support their gorgeous work. MamaBaby is forever forged upon my heart, and I look forward to the day I’m able to visit again ♥

Cindy Lybolt, CPM

I’m a CPM, I spent a couple of weeks in Haiti and would love to go again.  I’m working with a contact in the DR to develop a doula program nationwide with the hope that it will blossom into reintroducing midwifery.  I work in Northwest Indiana.  I am completing my Bachelor’s in Midwifery through Midwifery College of Utah and hope to teach in the future.

I am honored to be a sister midwife for MamaBabyHaiti. As a mama and midwife I wish I could do more. I wish for all mamas and babies to have gentle, safe, empowering births nourished with health and love. I have a home birth practice in Chelsea, Michigan called Gentle Birth Holistic Midwifery.
